All citizens input has been canceled for the foreseeable future, according to the mayor of the Frisco City Council. This is actually sadly understandable because we've seen a large influx of outside agitators spewing straight up white supremacist rhetoric, uh, two of whom are January 6th rioters. One of the January 6th rioters came here all the way from Florida. So when I say outside agitators, I mean it.
Guys, it is so heartbreaking to see that the Denton County Republican Party chair, Melinda Preston, would express her concern over what she says is going on in Frisco, yet not express any concern over the fact she's in the same room as two January 6th rioters. She knows who Larry Brock is. She knows, because after all, she tried to help his campaign by having her precinct chairs vote to ban Jared
Patterson, our Republican State House representative, which would have cleared the path for Larry Brock, the zip tie guy, to gain control of being a House representative. This is nuts. What happened in the Frisco City Council a couple of weeks ago is absolutely disgusting. There's all sorts of terrible rhetoric. And last night, when I went to the Frisco City
Council, by the way, I could not get into the building without going directly around a group of people who were protesting while spewing white supremacist rhetoric, Christian nationalist rhetoric, and were armed with an AR-15. Multiple people armed with an AR-15. The same group of people would then chant the words, quote, Jews will not replace us, Jews. This is disgusting.
Hate has no place in Frisco. Hate has no place in Frisco. Diversity is what makes us strong, by the way. We have thriving schools. We have thriving businesses, and it's our diversity that makes us strong. We need to stand against the hate. This residents of Frisco deserve better than this.
I also want to add in too, as to why I believe this has become such a problem in Frisco. It's not because people are concerned about HB1 visas After all, if you were concerned about an HB1 visa, you wouldn't go to a mayor or a city council, you'd go to your congressman to complain about that. But that's beside the point. The reason that we're seeing such an influx of outside
agitators is because in reality, they're content creators. And they see Frisco City Council and they'll say, ooh, Frisco City Council gives five minutes to speak, both to people who live in the city and to those who don't live in the city. Guys, when I go to Louisville ISD with my friend Stephanie Draper, Strephani gets one minute to speak. I get multiple minutes because I live in Frisco ISD.
Unfortunately, the Frisco City Council does not prioritize their own constituents. Most other city councils, even to their own residents, give us three minutes to speak tops. Frisco gives five. To content creators, that's money on the table. And that's why we have seen those large conflicts. Look, diversity is something to be celebrated.
Frisco is a wonderful place to live and surrounding areas. We have great schools, businesses are flourishing, and I say it's because of our diversity. Diversity is what makes us stronger, not weaker. And running around like this, spewing your mouth of hatred and bigotry, that does not belong in Frisco. Hate has no place in Frisco. To the mayor, I understand why you felt like it
was necessary to end the citizens' input. It's so unfortunate. I can tell you, as someone who did not feel safe myself, walking around a large group of people who were armed by the way, supposed protesters armed with high-power assault rifles in front of City Hall, I did not feel safe. What you got?
Daniel Mark 18? This is becoming a security issue It's so sad that this is what has come of come of it. But we need to stay in solidarity. We need to stay in solidarity to our neighbors and the residents who live here in Frisco. They do deserve better than to be harassed.
They deserve better. To our neighbors in Frisco, I want to support you in any way that I can. And together, we're going to be strong.
