It's good to be here. Thank you so much for having us. Just like Stephanie, it was an honor to run to be your Texas State Senator. I ran for Texas State Senate District 30. She ran for 12, and now we're both running for County Commissioner. She's running for C4, I'm running for Precinct 2.
Now, I'm not going to cover the infrastructure stuff except we covered all that already. So there's two other things that I want to cover tonight. Well, the pre uh the Deccan County Commissioner's job is a really big responsibility. There's lots of different things they do. But there's two points of contention I'll bring up next.
The first is the fact that we do not have countywide voting on election day. Sounds like a lot of you know that, but just to rehearse it, you can vote anywhere in the county in the early voting period, but not on the last day of the vote. This is so confusing as so many people we're seeing about 50% of people getting redirected on the voting day.
And this is straight up voter suppression, guys. It's very voter's pressure. We've heard stories of college kids saying, oh man, I uh I gotta be for class, I guess I just can't vote today. There's another story of a guy who is no wheelchair, and he hydraulically lifted out of his car. He's on a week machine, by the way.
Wheeled in, got told, sorry, sir, you can't vote here. This is voter suppression. It doesn't have to be this way. Every single one of our county commissioners are Republicans, and that's because of them. We need it with the County Commissioner's Court. The next thing I want to bring up with the County Commissioner's Court is 287G.
Sounds like a lot of holy. Raise your hands, probably. Has anyone heard of 287G? Yep. Okay. So what that is, is a contract between Denton County and ICE. What 27G does is it deputizes our local police
officials as ICE individuals. Now, this is something that I don't know if you've been watching the news. Have you been seeing what IC has been up to in other cities? What keeps me up at night is thinking if God forbid we have a president who's saying he's going to go after everything world, he's going to go after the
world cities. If he wants to go after the world colleges, is he going to send these ICE individuals to like UNT? What's going to happen with those kids? Are they going to get thrown in jail? Because we see how peaceful protesters get thrown in jail. And that keeps me up at night Because right now Denton County is being sued for a
wrongful death uh situation. Uh Keith Aaron Vanderbitter, aged 27, dying in a benton county jail due to dehydration. Wow. Our Tenton County jails cannot see an influx of people. And if Ice comes here and they go to UNT, you know those college kids, you know they're gonna protest, and you know they're gonna get locked up.
And then we're gonna see more and more lawsuits just like Keith Aaron Vader veteran. That's what keeps me on that time. We need to flip the county commissioners court. It's possible. There are four commissioners and one judge, two commissioners, that's Stephanie and I, and the judge. Uh we don't have a judge yet because it's done.
We will put the Devon County Commissioner Court to decide. So this year very small, there's an election coming up, um, and we heard from uh the lady who's gonna be in this upcoming election coming up. I'm talking about the election in the middle of the year 2026. So please, depending upon where you live, if you're uh east side, I'm sorry, if you're west side, Denton County,
Texas, please vote for Stephanie. If you're east side of Denton County, Texas, where I am, please vote for Dale Frey. If you want to learn more information about me, you come to Frey for Texas.com. That's F R E Y for Texas.com. Dale Freyford County Commissioner. Thank you all very much for your time.
Thank you for coming to the time.
