Y'all are scared and it shows. Got some news for you - we already have a Democratic nominee for a "McKinney Street Judge", Seth Fuller. If y'all wish to win your races, you'd best talk about the policies rather than say one party is good and the other is bad. Your speech lacked substance in terms of saying /why/ your candidacy is better than your opponent's - y'all seem to be running for office solely by the letter next to your name, rather than stating how you are going to make the JP courts work better for the people (i.e. Night Court, etc).

Let me explain something to you. In my race, when I ran the first time four years ago, we outvoted the Democrats in my race about 10,000 to right at 3,000. So it's almost 7,000 vote margin that we outvoted them in the primary. This last time, they outvoted us by 1,600 ballots. That is a huge, huge change.

And I am telling you right now that if we do not do something, if we don't do something in our precinct, what's gonna happen is, and I I mean this wholeheartedly, and Judge Lavonius can tell you, is that if they can pick off a couple of these JP races, they are going to run Democrats in all of our judicial races. And if they come and get me or James Kerbo

or Blanca Oliver, if they come and and win a couple of these, they are going to start running against our amazing judges that are over there on McKinney Street. Because yes, what uh Congressman Gill said is correct. The way Texas goes, is the way the country goes. But the way Denton County goes is the way Texas goes. We have got to start here, now, today.
