Hey Quase, it's a very good question. So the main concern really here is that our public schools are underfunded as it is, and that is causing our public schools to fail. Now, obviously, probably most parents are not necessarily aware of that, or at the very least, even if they are, they're gonna think to themselves that maybe they'll want to use this voucher program since their public schools are failing.
But their public schools are failing is because the fact that the formula, or basically the wada, or basic allotment has not been adjusted since long before the pandemic, so therefore inflation's killing us in the education sector. A lot of our ISDs are in a deficit right now. So this is intentionally done because there's a lobbying effort made by Tim Dun and Ferris Wilkes who wants to
privatize our public education system. This is a power grab. Tim Dunn and Ferris Wilkes have two Texas oligarch billionaires in West Texas, and they want to destroy public education because they want to control it. They want to purchase all of these private schools and make it so that you no longer have an elected school board.
They want to be the ones in control. Plano ISD, for example. We're losing four of our public schools over there. One of them was actually specialized for deaf kids, uh, which is really sad, but the ISD is going to do what it needs to because it's in a deficit. It's gonna sell those public school buildings because the ISD needs the money, and I've seen this movie before, some
fat cat rich person is gonna purchase those buildings, flipping them into our charter school, and then want a voucher program to fund those buildings, those schools. And then eventually Tim Dunn and Ferris Wilkes are gonna purchase them because again, this is just a power grab. This is big massive corporations and rich oligarchs wanting control. They want to be the ones in charge with controlling your children's education.
This is a whole entire effort is designed in order to privatize our public education system because when the big corporations do that, you no longer have an elected school board. You no longer have an elected school board anymore. Tim Dunn and Ferris Wilkes and the other uh oligarch billionaires are the ones in control of your child.'s curriculum
