McKinney City Council was bombarded last Tuesday with racist and hateful rhetoric

McKinney City Council was bombarded last Tuesday with racist and hateful rhetoric. So many people who call themselves "Christians" and yet aim to treat others with hate, division, and disrespect. It is shocking to me how many people are fine with government deciding what is a religion and what is not. You may not be able to hear it very well in the video, but I got boo'ed so stating some simple facts: šŸ‘‰ Our County was founded by deists who believe in freedom of religion. šŸ‘‰ Separation of Church and State is outlined in the 1st sentence of the first Amendment - which is before freedom of speech. šŸ‘‰ City Council can't vote no for the approval - that would result in a lawsuit, further increasing our property taxes in an already diminished economy under this administration.

Good evening. My name is Dale Frey. I'm a former and future uh senatorial candidate, current candidate for the Dutton County Clerk and elected president of the Frisco Democratic Club. First, let me open by saying that in this country we're supposed to welcome here everyone Christians, Buddhists, people of the Jewish faith, Muslims, and people who do not carry

faith. The government has no business in denying the construction of a mosque any more than it has no business in denying the construction of a Christian church or a Jewish temple. That is blatantly outlined in the separation of church and state in our constitution. This was not founded as a Christian nation.

Our founding fathers were deists, deists who believe in freedom of religion. It was so important to our founding fathers that we have freedom of religion that the first sentence of the First Amendment clarified separation of church and state. They put that before freedom of speech, mind you. That's the first amendment. Folks, I'm a Christian myself.

A neighbor is someone who is different from you. Jesus commands that we love everyone unconditionally. Now, let's be real here, folks. You don't have any real choice but to vote to approve this, because if you vote no, the city will get sued. So I look forward to your vote, and I thank you for your time.

Thank you, Mr. Freight. Next up is
