Abbot needs to take a hint

Well, around it around, here we go again and again. Texas lawmakers returned to the state capitol this morning to talk school choice. A House Committee has passed a bill that will send taxpayer money to school voucher programs. Governor Greg Abbott says he expects the House to pass the bill, but No, the House will not pass that bill.

We've been down Litstward before. We've been down this sort of the regular session where it got struck down. We've been down this road with a special session where it's got struck down. Now we're doing this again. No, this is not going to pass. If no compromise is reached on school choice, he says

he will call lawmakers back to Austin for what would be a fifth special session. Oh, this is just desperate. You know, you can try this over and over again, but it's never gonna pass. Look, this is the type of thing where he's starting to annoy his own party because none of these guys in Austin want to be there right now.

They want to be campaigning for their primaries that are about to come up. So Governor Abbott's is gonna keep doing this over and over again, and I think I know what his next move is gonna be. He's gonna say that, oh look, I Greg Abbott have tried so hard because I have put forward multiple special sessions for this, and it has failed.

He's gonna blame the Democrats. Now, mind you, remember that the state house is dominated by Republicans, the state senate is dominated by Republicans. There's no way. There's no way you can claim that this is the fault of the Democrats. This is a fault of both Democrats and rural Republicans because because rural Republicans understand that school choice will hurt

them the most. But it's not gonna stop Abbott from continuing to do this. Just remember this whole thing is a facade. So no his next move is gonna be to blame the Democrats for this when really they are the ones in control. And this idea of the voucher program is just bad.

It's just it's just a bad idea.
