As the governor has called for an expensive #specialsession, a lot of time and money is being waisted on a #GOP conspiracy-theory about #ColonyRidge. Instead of fixing our grid, or pushing for #MedicaidExpansion, the #txlege is wasting time looking at at this community. A community who is testifying in the capital that this is all made up, and that they feel targeted. We NEED to send better leaders to #Austin folks! @dentondemocrats @collindemocrat @dallasdemocrats

Guys, we desperately need better leadership in Austin because Republican hysteria is at it again. Today we're going to talk about Colony Ridge, a place that's supposedly overrun with illegal immigrants. Colony Ridge. This is a big issue. Are the cartels involved in this? It's a development outside of Houston.

I don't know if it's made it to your desk yet. Uh, but it's an illegal alien settlement and people, you know, Colony Ridge that's being built for 200,000 migrants. But an illegal immigrant city has been erected. Colony Ridge. Now, before you jump and say, Dale, you're looking at InfoWars.

That's a crazy right-wing nutcase outlet. Well, well, well, Governor Abbott's jumping in on this too. Governor Abbott calling lawmakers back to the state capitol to address some of his top priorities. Legislation to improve public safety at the Colony Ridge development northeast of Houston. That's where Republicans allege thousands of undocumented immigrants are living. Yeah, that's right.

Our leaders, our elected leaders, are drinking the Kool-Aid from InfoWars, and now Governor Abbott is calling it an expensive special session to go over Colony Ridge. Funny enough, how there's no photo evidence of any illegal immigrants being over there, and funny enough, if you ask the locals there about it, here's what they have to say. Enforcement since 2004, and there's nothing uh drastically different work

in this neighborhood than when I worked in the Cleveland police department or Air Scott Sheriff's Office. Now, despite all lack of evidence, here we are anyways, in an expensive special session pushed by Governor Abbott and right-wing hysteria. So the House held an affair uh affairs committee hearing that basically went nowhere. It went so poorly that one of the representatives themselves

was caught murmuring out loud, what are we even doing here? They had to be told. They actually had to be told by locals that there's no such thing as a no-go zone. That yeah, DPS troopers can go anywhere and and deport people out of there if there is actually illegal immigrants. This whole thing is false.

This whole thing is a made-up story. But this is another wake-up call to my fellow Democrats. Guys, you gotta get out there, you gotta spend the time to vote, and you gotta vote blue. You gotta send common sense people to Austin, not people who believe in conspiracy theories and fantasies and we'll waste our tax dollars on it, okay? Send common sense people.

Like me. I'm Dale Frey. I'm running for the Texas State House of Representatives. If you want to know any more information about me, my website's right here if you want to support my campaign. But ultimately, we gotta vote blue. Because this is insane what's going on right now.
