I see these deceptive headlines everywhere that oh Tennessee and Texas pass laws restricting drag shows. No, men can dress up in dresses, and men can go get naked dressed up like women at bars or wherever they want. You just can't do it with two year olds and then shake your penis in their face. Okay, wait, hold on, hold on.

Before we get to the whole two-year-old thing, uh the first accusation about these headlines being deceptive, no, they are not. There are attempts to outlaw all drag, even fully clothed drag here in Texas. Let me show you. This is HB 643, a bill built by Jared Patterson, and this bill will say that any business of any

kind that has any type of drag show, even if they're fully clothed, to be labeled as a sexually oriented business, meaning that they get held to the higher standards of that of a full-blown strict So let's go over the actual contents of the bill real quick, because make no mistake, this bill wants to say that the definition of the word nude is not just entirely someone unclothed. No, it also means provides an audience of drag performances.

Because drag performance in this context means a performer that exhibits a gender identity that is different than the performer's gender assigned at birth. That can be very vague. But the real eye-opener here is that this definition has nothing to do with how much you are covered or how much skin you are showing. This bill by Jared Patterson will make it so that

any business that has any drag show of any kind, even if they're fully clothed, will be labeled as a sexually oriented business and get held to the same standards of what was previously defined as a sexually oriented business, which of course is simply a sex parlor, a nude studio, nude modeling studio, a love parlor, adult bookstore, adult movie theater, adult video arcade. You get the idea.

So just one more time. When even Alex Jones from InfoWars tries to say No, men can dress up in dresses. No, actually, even that is under attack here in Texas.
