Oh my god, this is freaking ridiculous. Headline: Trans women are now banned from chess. Which, you know, before I I get into this headline, I this seems a little bit sexist, right? I mean, why is there a division between men and women in chess? What advantage does a man have over another woman? For you to say there's an advantage for men would
imply that you think that men are smarter than women. That somehow a man is more intelligent and has an higher IQ than woman. Therefore, it would be a disadvantage for someone to be transgendered. Is that what's going on here? But, anyways, back to the official statement. Quote: change of gender is a change that has a
significant impact on players' status in chess. Though part of me kind of wonders if there's an anti-trans bias here, because this doesn't really pass the smell test when they say they need a two years to figure out whether or not a trans person is allowed to play chess because somehow gender has such a major factor in intelligence when it comes to chess.
