Guys, I am sick and tired of the school voucher thing. And the state houses too, when they said these are public funds for public schools, as is outlined and stated specifically in the Texas Constitution. And then established a rule saying that no public funding can go to private entities, thus blocking school vouchers for the entire session.
And now, despite having the same political makeup in the House, Abbott wants to establish a new session in order to try to revive the school voucher program under the guise of saying that, oh, we're giving power to the parents. Which is not his true intention. What this will do is defund public schools, as every kid who basically takes his voucher and goes to a
private school takes money away from the public school to the private school. If this was truly about having parents be able to bring their kids to private schools, then you would just give additional taxpayer money directly to the private schools rather than taking it away from the public schools. This is specifically designed to hurt public schools. So please explain to me.
Explain to me why anybody would want this. Look, I've seen comments in our previous videos in the past saying that school teachers are all groomers and therefore we need to defund public education.
