Election strategy. That is the focus of tonight's angle. Now, these sick individuals think that a mass shooting at a shopping mall is gonna save them in 2024. Get everyone on the same page. Tell the country that voting Republican means essentially that you're voting for Osama bin Laden's relatives. No, I wouldn't say that.
I would say voting Republican is worse than that because Osama bin Laden's family they disowned him. But before I go any further, I just want to talk about how absolutely disgusting these type of comments are. No one is planning these shootings. No Democrats are wanting this to happen. Nobody wants this to happen. And this is not some sort of thing that we're
happy to see to use for a a campaign issue. What we are seeing is a unique problem to the United States, where we have more the mass shootings than any other country. And this year there's been over 200 shootings so far, and it's not even day two hundred of our 365-day year. It's a problem that is so bad that even here
in Texas, Texas, that's dominated by the Republicans, both the state house and the Senate and the governorship, even now, finally, finally, thank God, thank God, they're talking about raising the age to 21 to own AR-15s. It's passed the calendars committee, and now it's gonna hit the House floor. But there's a problem, and that problem is the Republicans, because let's face it, they're very pro gun.
A lot of them are bought out by the NRA, and some other particular individuals, like this guy right here, owns his own weapons manufacturer. A manufacturer who, by the way, specializes in producing and selling AR-15s. That's that's mainly what he sells. That that that's his that's his bread and butter. That that's how he makes money.
When this bill hits the House floor, how do you think Republicans like that will vote? How do you think Republicans who are owned by the NRA are gonna vote? We've seen this before several times. In Connecticut, with the Sandy Hook massacre, it was a tragedy, and Congress responded. They responded by making gun restrictions more lax.
That's what they did. So thank God that bill passed the calendars committee, but just you wait, just you wait to see who's gonna vote against this bill. And that, Lord Ingram, is why we urge people to vote for the Democratic Party. All right? It's voting for Republican, it's far worse than voting for
some sort of bin Laden relative.
