Hey guys, now that my election is done as of last week, I want to say how grateful I am to everyone who helped me block walk, everyone who helped it with my campaign, everyone who helped push social media for this very successful uh campaign that I just ran and winning this runoff. I am so grateful to be the Democratic nominee for Senate District 30.
So I'll be on the November ballot and it's a wonderful feeling. I'm gonna stand here and continue to fight against the school voucher scam. I'm gonna try to help uh fix our broken healthcare system and so much more. I am now facing uh a Republican in the next election in November.
His name is Brent Hagen Boo. It seems he has some residency issues, so we're gonna investigate and see what happens there. He is also pro voucher, so I want to make sure that everyone understands that. Unfortunately, the governor has recently said that he believes that he is now going to have the votes that it takes in order to pass school vouchers in Texas.
He released this uh recently after this past runoff. Uh I just want to express how it makes this election so consequential. If the school voucher scam was to pass, it will be the final analyticoin for our public schools. Lest I remind everyone that we've lost 40% of our school staff in the past two years as it is, because of the fact that the way we fund our
ISD has been refactored in the past decade, where it now depends more on our property taxes more than direct funding from the state, which is a lopsided way of funding our ISDs and completely needless considering we have a massive surplus right now, which is a good problem to have. We have a surplus where we can pay for our infrastructure, pay for our roads, pay for our public education,
yet yet they continue to push the school voucher scam as specifically sacrifices public education funding. So please make sure you understand who is for and against school vouchers. Understand that it's really gonna matter in this coming election. So every time the governor says he has uh uh the needed votes in order to pass the school voucher scam, make sure that you understand just how important it
