Replying to a comment on my last video - We Texans do in fact pay for medical programs in California and New Jersey, but not back here in Texas - due to us not opt-ing into the MediCaid-Expansion Program. We loose about $10 billion dollars a year over this... 😑

Thanks for the opportunity for me to explain. A lot of people don't fully understand. The Medicaid Expansion Program is a national money bucket that we all spend money into through our federal taxes. So every American pays into it. And with this national money bucket, money flows from this bucket into each state of the country that is opted into the Medicaid expansion program, which is most states in

the country, but not Texas. So we Texans pay uh money into this national money bucket and then it flows to California because they have opted into Medicaid expansion. It flows into New Jersey because they've opted into Medicaid expansion, but not back here in Texas. Because we have wanted to join the Medicaid expansion, both Democrats and Republicans, and the state house and state senate

has pushed that legislation to Governor Abbott's desk, but then Governor Abbott decided to veto it. We are losing about $10 billion a year for this. We're losing about we've lost, I think about a hundred billion dollars over the past ten years over this of money that could have been put here in Texas, all while I was talking about my friend Kenneth who's having to drop her Medicaid recipients because she's she says the

mic the Medicaid money's just not there anymore, especially especially with inflation and after the rates have not been adjusted. So it's completely needless. It is bipartisan. Uh it's just Governor Abbott has blocked it because the Medicaid expansion program is part of the Affordable Care Act, or as some people call it Obamacare, and Governor Abbott has made a career out of basically trying to knock

down everything that has Obama's name on it.
