Today, the Dallas Morning News has announced their endorsements for Senate District 30. Being a nonpartisan news outlet, they endorsed one Democrat and one Republican. I am honored to be the Democrat that is endorsed for Senate District 30. At the same time, too, I do want to express my growing concerns.
As the Republican and whom they endorsed, they recently have recalled that endorsement. They have taken it back under news that he recently has pledged to, if he gains power, to have Texas succeed from the Union, which is illegal and not possible, but it's something that he advocates for. This man took to the stage and he expressed that his plan for handling the quote unquote invasion on our
southern border. His plan is to activate the National Guard, send armed troops to our border, and guys at Kid U Not, he wants people to be shot on site. He wants asylum seekers to be shot. That is how far the Republicans are now. That is what the rhetoric that my opponent is going up on stage and advocating for.
This is completely immoral and completely wrong, and it's not something that we can stand for. I highlight this information so that everyone can understand the gravity of the situation and understand what's at stake here. The Republicans pledge of allegiance to the flag, yet say they want to succeed from the Union. A lot of these people call themselves Christians, they call themselves God-fearing individuals, yet they want asylum seekers to be
shot. Apparently, razor wire is just not enough for them. We need to make sure we vote, folks. We have to make sure we vote. We have a primary coming up. It's less than two weeks away. Make sure you come to this website right here. Go to this website.
It will tell you where your voting location options are and will tell you what times those voting offices are open. Please put it on your calendar. We have to get out the vote. We cannot let people like my opponent who talks about literally killing people at the border. We cannot let them gain power.
