People keep telling me "we live in a Republic, not a Democracy"

Pure democracies are not the way to run a customer. Alright, so I've seen several comments in response to the last video saying the way to run a casino comments in response to the last video saying the US is not a democracy, or the US is a constitutional republic instead of a democracy. You know, with such divisive comments, it's important for us to remember that we live in a hybrid country where

republic representatives are democratically elected. And given that, when we talk about democratic versus republican ideologies, what we're talking about is how much power do we want to give to the people, the people being the working class, people like you and me, versus how much power do we instead want to give to a small select few. Look, I understand there are several patriots in this country

through their American pride who say, our founding fathers has established us as a republic, or have established us in certain ways, whether it be expirec or whatever you believe. But one thing you need to remember is that our founding fathers, they never agreed on anything. They were always in disagreement, and through long debates and necessity, they had to compromise. And their end result of compromise is essentially this country.

And on top of that, you gotta remember that our founding fathers' job, it was an incomplete one. They weren't done. They never established the concept of term limits for all offices. They never established the concept of minimum wage. At their time, and they couldn't possibly understand that unchecked capitalism could yield monopolies.

They also couldn't comprehend social security nor Medicare in their time. It's up to us in the modern day to make sure that the government is as fair as possible to the people. And look, that means different things to different people. So one of the main things it means is that we need to elect representatives who advocate for their constituents,

the working class, people like you and me. That's not something we're seeing today. The only thing we see today is representatives who, despite whatever they say, only represent their donors. And their donors' ideologies do not necessarily align with the desires of the people. What the working class wants, what the people want, is to have unions in their jobs so they can have

a decent salary in a safe working environment. What the working class people want is access to health care. What the working class people want is the ability to send their kids to an education system. that is both functional and well funded But most importantly, what the people want is power over our government because none of us always trust the government.

Doesn't matter if you're Democrat or Republican, we don't always trust the government. So we need to have the democratic power to vote. And we need to have the democratic power to vote people out of office when we want them out. We need to have the democratic power to push for legislation that benefits us. So look, when somebody says most of the states in

this country don't allow you to put everything on the ballot because pure democracies are not the way to run a country. Or someone celebrates our country as being a republic-only regime, then you are against the will of the people. Personally, I align with supporting a true democracy. I believe true democracy is the only way that we the people are gonna get the legislation that we want.

And this is why I align with the Democratic Party. True democracy is the only way for us. And the only way we're gonna get that is if we vote blue.
